Since the break-up of My Chemical Romance in March 2013, the four band members have gone on to do solo projects and form new bands. Former frontman Gerard Way released a solo record titled Hesitant Alien, and is also writing the next comic in The Umbrella Academy series. As well as this, Way is spending time with his daughter Bandit and wife Lyn-z (bassist of Mindless Self Indulgence).

 

Frank Iero released an album titled Stomaches in 2014, in which he plays all the instruments apart from the drums, before forming a band called FrnkIero andthe Cellabration shortly after. As well as touring with the band, he also recently surprised fans by being joined by three very special people in his life- his twin daughters and young son.

 

Mikey Way followed his brother's past footsteps and became the frontman to Electric Century in Febuary 2014, before going into rehab to tackle his drug and alcohol abuse. Now over a year sober, Mikey is writing more music.

 

Ray Toro said the breakup was almost like a blessing is disguise, as he now has time to raise his son and spend time with his family (something that Frank and Gerard were unable to do as they started a family during MCR). He is also, however, working on some music demos. He released the song Isn't That Something in May 2013, followed by For The Lost And The Brave in January 2015.
